Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda, above all at the edge of the Rift Valley.

It has hills blanketed by one of the oldest and truly of course most biologically diverse rain forests in uganda.

Bwindi dates back over 25,000 years and surely has 120 mammal species, 220 tree species, and 400 species of plants.

In addition to all these, bwindi provides habitat for various species including 348 of birds, 220 of butterflies, 27 of frogs, chameleons, geckos.

Further more, this “impenetrable forest” most importantly protects an estimated 400 mountain gorillas  roughly half of the world’s population.

Floristically, the park is among the most diverse forests in East Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plant species, including 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was gazetted as a National Park in 1991 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

There are various activities carried out in this park, including Gorilla trekking,birding, and lastly Community visits.
